At the very start of our contract, Mary presented us with three options at three price points for preparing our house to sell, with listed scopes of work, costs, marketing, and projected profits. She discussed each one in detail with us, which not only was helpful for the decisions we had to make, but also probably served to give her an understanding of our own preferences and how she could best serve us as her clients. The updates and styling of our house included many things we would have not considered ourselves, but made our home look modernized and incredible once it was all done. As remote sellers, we wanted an agent who would prioritize communication with us. Not only was Mary always quick to return a call or text addressing impromptu questions, but she scheduled video meetings to discuss the status of submitted bids, and these included shared spreadsheets summarizing the information of each offer. She would personally stop in at the house while work was being done, and frequently sent us photos and videos of fixes in progress, new concerns if they cropped up, and finished projects. Due to circumstances that neither Mary nor we could have anticipated, the first and second escrows for our house fell through. In each of these cases, even before my spouse and I felt we should be concerned, Mary was already discussing with us her thoughts about a shift in progress with the sale, the conversations she was having with the buyer’s agent and other involved parties to solve the issue, and plans she already had in place for the possibility of our house being put back on the market. As it turned out, her foresight was on point, and she was ready for another open house and a new round of marketing when our buyers pulled out. I cannot stress how lucky we feel to have had an agent who not only confronted bumps in the road directly and worked tirelessly to correct them, but also had secondary plans already in place in the event that things didn’t work out. In addition to everything above, Mary was a joy to work with. We would utilize her services again in a heartbeat, and recommend her as a home seller to anyone with no reservations.
